Plainview Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School

Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School (POBJFKHS) is a four-year public high school located on Kennedy Drive in Plainview, New York, in Nassau County on Long Island in the United States.
It is a product of the 1992 merger of Plainview-Old Bethpage High School and John F. Kennedy High School, and is part of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District.
As of 2006, the principal is James Murray, the associate principal is Thomas Sena, and there are two assistant principals, Paul Dallara and Glen Zakian.
The school's radio station, WPOB, can be heard on 88.5 FM in Plainview and the surrounding area.
The school currently offers 15+ Advanced Placement courses, and many extracurricular activities, including a highly successful Model UN team, who host a conference every fall. Under the leadership of advisors Georgiena Robinson and Kevin Dugan, the club and conference has risen to great heights. The school has a very active student government. POBJFK is also the only school to host a SING production every year under the leadership of Sandi Vanderpool.
POBJFKHS is also well known for its' sports teams. In 2005, the Varsity Football team made it to the county finals, however in 2006, they failed to win a single game. The Boys Varsity Volleyball Team, however, went all-county two years in a row (2005 and 2006).
