Proton satellite

Proton was a model of Soviet scientific artificial satellites. The maximum mass was about 17 tonnes.
During 1965-1968 4 "Protons" were launched.
Developed by "NPO Mashinostroyenia".
Aim of the project was to study the particles of high and ultra-high energies.
They were the source of the name for the Proton rocket which launched them as some of its first payloads.
