Talk:Psyduck
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Does it really have to be mentioned that psyduck is fictional?
- There was some sort of discussion a while back that concluded this should be so for all Pokémon. It's mentioned in the Talk page of the Pokédex WikiProject, though the link to said discussion seems to be outdated. At any rate, I think it's more professional-looking to do so anyhow.

[edit] Psyduck having Autistic behaviours
I have been considering for awhile that Psyduck's way of holding his head, and acting generally clumsey and dopey, could be a Japanese parody of someone with Autism. I don't mean to make it sound like a bad thing, if it came across that way. I think that characters like Psyduck, such as Cheese from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. [1], help children be more understanding of other children who may be on the Autistic spectrum.
I'm wondering do you think this should be mentioned in this article, as well as mentioned in the article about Autism, as fictional characters who have been perceived as somewhere on the Autism Spectrum? I think if this was brought more to light, people would identify Autistic Spectrum qualities in a positive manner, being able to relate it to someone they like from a cartoon. -Violet yoshi 04:00, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
