Punch and Judy (opera)

Punch and Judy is an opera by Harrison Birtwistle with a libretto by Stephen Pruslin. It was first performed at the Aldeburgh Festival on 8 June 1968. The premiere caused great controversy with many of the audience, including Benjamin Britten, walking out in disgust.
