Quark Kent (Giv Parvaneh) is an Australian-based/Iranian electronic music artist. He has been creating and releasing music since 1996 with 4 LP releases and several remixes under his belt. He also appears on several music compilations.
He first appeared on the scene playing at Frigid, a weekly electronic music night in Sydney, Australia organised by Sub Bass Snarl. In 2000 he was nominated as the best debut artist at the Dance Music Awards (DMA); the award ultimately went to Madison Avenue.
Giv Parvaneh continues to create music under the Quark Kent alias but he is also involved in several other projects such as writing film scores and collaborating in other music projects with Southern Outpost (Record Label).
