Quarta Ounce, also known as Q.O., is a Chicago-based rap band. The members are Tweek Tweek, Lo-Dilla and Mac-T. Founded in 1994, Q.O. debuted their first independent L.P., "Smoke dis" with manager Robert "June, June" Jenkins and former member, Dregs M.C.. Though not a financial success, the L.P. was effective in demonstrating the group’s witty/street gritty lyrical versatility and gained them a buzz among underground hardcore hip hop enthusiasts. Q.O. followed up their debut L.P. with the sophomore album entitled "Lime Green" in 1996 which addresses the issues and struggles of ethnicity and life in the inner-city streets of Chicago. Performing songs from "Lime Green", Q.O. has opened and headlined shows for various mainstream artists, including Twista, Ludacris, Redman and Do or Die. The group plans to continue delivering their message via their upcoming two-disk "Q.O. mixtape" which will feature new, never before heard songs from Q.O. as well as introduce talent from affiliate group Illumination. All three members and manager Mr. Jenkins reside in Chicago.
- “We draw inspiration from a cult-like following of fans as well as each other. Our goal is to be Chicago’s premier Rap Group."- Q.O. member, Mac-t.
