Queen's University Mavericks (Queens 3rds) is a Northern Ireland football team playing in the Mid-Ulster Division 3. The team is part of Queens University Belfast AFC, it is based in Queen's University Belfast and plays its home matches at Malone Playing Fields (the Dub). Club colours are red, black, and white and they are sponsored by The Daily Mirror.
The team has undergone a change in management after the 2005/06 season. The new manager is Sean Bowers, who has returned to the club to take over from the departed Mark Whyte to pursue his football career. Other duties are taken care of by other players such as Patrick McGinley Derek Brady, Martin Ferguson and John Fitzpatrick. Team Captain is Patrick McGinley.
The Mavericks are currently in the final of the Beckett Cup to be played on 20th of April 2007 at Knockrammer park.
