Talk:Queen Paola of Belgium
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Have moved this page to new title, per Wiki stylebook re article names for royal consorts, male or female.
[edit] surname
I should have guessed that that Emsworth was the one to add a surname to the queen. How many times should it be stressed that conventionally, royals do not have surnames. Particularly the Saxony family does not hold Wettin as their surname. 217.140.193.123 19:39, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Lombarda
"6th Duke of Guardia Lombarda" Now Guardia Lombarda pipes to Lombardia. Is this correct? For example, Guardia Piemontese is definitely not Piemont. There exists Guardia dei Lombardi/ Giardia Lombardi in Campania, Avellino Province. mikka (t) 19:33, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
Aslo there is Guardia Lombarda, "piccolissimo centro agricolo (m428 m s/m ab. 5752) situato nella provincia di Benevento, sui Monti del Matese. Produttore di ottimi vini e olii."
BTW, what does "Guardia" mean in this context? The word literally means "guard". Does "guardia" deserve an article (besides Guardia (family))? Other places: Guardia Costiera, Guardia Sanframondi, Guardia Perticara. mikka (t) 19:45, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
