Rairangpur is a town and a notified area committee in Mayurbhanj district in the Indian state of Orissa. It is situated at about 85 kilometers from district headquarters of Baripada and about 80 km away from Jamshedpur. The Khadkhai Dam is a local attraction nearby.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Rairangpur had a population of 21,682. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Rairangpur has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 65%. In Rairangpur, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Rairangpur acts as a liasion centre between Jamshedpur and the mines in Badampahar.The steel factory of tata Steel rely partly on the raw materials extracted from these mines. There is special train from Jamshedpur to Badampahar via Rairangpur. rairangpur contians good industry scale also.jagdamba iron and steel is one of the examples which is stablished by mr. vijay agrawal in 2004 having a good turn over and related to industries like jsw.
