Rajgurunagar is famous as the birth place of great freedom fighter Rajguru. Rajgurunagar has witnessed several memorable incidents from history. Battle between Tarabai and Dilawarkhan took place near Rajgurunagar. Peshwas had maintained close relations with this city. Mastani Mahal was built near Rajgurunagar. Holy places like Alandi, Bhimashankar are in vicinity to Rajgurunagar.

Rajgurunagar is located at the northern block of the Pune city in Maharashtra state of India. Its old name was Khed, which was changed to Rajgurunagar around 28 years back in honour of Hutatma Rajguru.

Rajgurunagar is located at a distance of about 30km from Pune Sation. You can take ST Bus/PMT Bus from Shivajinagar Bus Stand OR Pune Station, Pune Corporation which will drop you at Rajgurunagar. It takes around 1 hour to reach the place. A local transport available is Auto Riksha.
