Talk:ReDead
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
No way, best left by itself.
- Agreed, this is an memorable enemy that occurs across at least three different Zelda games. The information presented is not spurious, nor is this article a stub. I vote for it to remain its own article.

- If it was to be moved anywhere, then The Legend of Zelda series enemies would be a much better place to put it. Sonic Mew | talk to me 23:06, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
- it alread is. this page needs to be deleted...or made into a redirect.

I also agree. The ReDead article should not be merged, they warrant their own article. Are we all agreed then? We leave this where it is. I'll remove the tag. Trip: The Light Fantastic 13:15, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Move please
I think that the redead should be removed from the villan races and just left in The Legend of Zelda enemy seires. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by VenomousNinja (talk • contribs).
[edit] Article name
Why is this article named Gibdo instead of ReDead? Seems like the main article is about ReDeads with Gibdo being a specific kind of ReDead. --TheKoG 17:58, 6 March 2006 (UTC) Good point...I don't think the average gamer remembers the name "gibdo".
- Moved per point. Scepia 19:53, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
About that... I moved it from Redead to Gibdo, but I was messing around and was very, very new then. ~VNinja~ 23:54, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Picture

[edit] wind waker redesign

[edit] Twilight Princess
We desperately need a picture of the Twilight Princess redead, considering how unique those ones are from the rest.SilentWind 14:54, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Dubious paragraph
In Ocarina of Time:, if the player kills a ReDead or a Gibdo, the others will walk to it and then crouch down or look down at it. Once it fades away, the ReDeads will walk to its original spot. This habit appears again in Wind Waker. A ReDead will not attack you when it is walking to the corpse but once it fades, then it will attack you. After the ReDeads returned to its original spot, it will turn around and stare at you as long as you are in the same room as it. Then it will try to walk over to you but if you are too far from it, it will go back to its original spot. ReDeads can be stunned temporarily by playing the Sun's Song.
I really get the impression that whoever wrote this misinterpretted the movements of a few ReDeads. I have never seen ReDeads walk over to a dead ReDead and crouch down at it, and but I know the ReDeads in the Market can never stun you, for whatever reason, which is probably why this user interpreted a few of the walking ReDeads as "not attacking you and walking towards a corpse". And as far as I know, ReDeads never "return to their original spot". They only stop moving when you're far enough away. It also seems to imply the Redeads staring at you is a condition that follows returning to its original spot. (Whether or not that was the intent of the wording, I don't know.) They only stare at you if you're close enough, not just if you're in the same room. The statement about the Sun's Song is just redundant, seeing as how it's already been mentioned.
I removed the paragraph from the article, but in case I happen to be wrong or something, I just thought I'd put it here for discussion. --Foot Dragoon 01:17, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
