He is one of the mathematicians who completed the proof of the Taniyama-Shimura conjecture.
Redundant since that was the same act as completing the proof of the FLT. Granted, T-S is more general, but that should be covered in the FLT article. Mark Foskey 02:44, 14 May 2005 (UTC)

He also gave this talk at Princeton the day before, for example.
