Robert M. Leach

LEACH, Robert Milton, a Representative from Massachusetts; born in Franklin, Merrimack County, N.H., April 2, 1879; attended the public schools, Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass., and Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H.; moved to Taunton, Mass., in 1900 and engaged in the chain-store furniture business in New England; commissioned as captain in the Ordnance Division of the United States Army during the First World War; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-eighth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of William S. Greene and served from November 4, 1924 to March 3, 1925; was not a candidate for renomination in 1924; resumed his former business activities in Taunton, Mass.; died in Eustis, Fla., February 18, 1952; interment in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, N.H.
