Robert McAlpine, Baron McAlpine of Moffat

Robert Edwin McAlpine, Baron McAlpine of Moffat, Bt (23 April 1907 - 7 January 1990), grandson of the Sir Robert McAlpine, 1st Baronet, was a British construction magnate heading Sir Robert McAlpine and sons.
He was made a life peer as Baron McAlpine of Moffat, of Medmenham in the County of Buckinghamshire in 1980.
McAlpine and sons construction was the focus of the folk song 'McAlpines Fusilers' written by Dominic Behan and most commonly performed by The Dubliners.
