Rokkaku Yoshisuke
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rokkaku Yoshisuke (六角義介?)(d. 1612) was the son of Rokkaku Yoshikata and lord of Namazue in Japan's Ōmi Province. In 1572, Namazue was besieged and defeated by the forces of Oda Nobunaga, led by Shibata Katsuie. This defeat for Yoshisuke marked the end of the Rokkaku family's independence; they became vassals of Oda Nobunaga. Yoshisuke later served one of Nobunaga's former generals, Tokugawa Ieyasu.
