S. Donovan Mullaney is the pen name for Shea Donovan Mullaney, an American poet born in 1977. Mullaney is a native of Plymouth, MA, where he still resides. Mullaney studied creative writing under poets Lloyd Schwartz and Joyce Peseroff at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Mullaney employs lyrical and narrative styles with subject matter that often leans toward the political. (Hence his affinity for non-mainstream outlets such as The New York Review and Pemmican.) He currently works as a reviewer/editor for The Watermark, the arts and literature journal at UMass Boston and is also a nationally-syndicated sex and relationships advice columnist for college campus newspapers.
Mullaney lives near Cape Cod, often drawing inspiration from the nature and environs of Boston and southeastern Massachusetts.

- Holds the position of Poet-in-Residence at the Arlington Street Church in Boston.
- His poetry has been featured as part of the Unitarian Universalist Association's celebration of marriage equality in Massachusetts and Boston LGBT Pride.
- Mullaney is a an BMI songwriter. His song "Thursday's Child" appears on singer-songwriter Keith Hampton's CD "Chance & Change."

- His first full-length collection of poems, Follow the Wolf Moon, was published in January 2006 by MJS Publishing Group.
- Mullaney is also the author of a spoken word CD entitled Travelin' Pomes, forthcoming from Boston-based Brave Records, and a collection of haiku entitled Ladyslipper's Wisdom.
- His poems have appeared in The New York Review, The Watermark, Hoi Polloi, and Pemmican; other work has been featured on WOMR 92.1 FM, Radio Provincetown and WERS 88.9 FM, Boston.
