[edit] Image Tagging Image:Fapremierlg.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Fapremierlg.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged imaged will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Howcheng 06:38, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image status
Hi. As the uploader of the image Fifacwc2.jpg, you wrote in the image page "Fifa.com". I assume that this means that the image came from FIFA's official website, correct? Preliminarily, you would still need [preferably] a tag or an explanation as to under what licensing we can use the image (Fair Use, express permission, copyleft, etc.). But specifically, I've recently been to FIFA's website, hoping myself to find a usable image for a football-related article. Once I was there, I read the website TOS (Terms of Service), and there it says that all the contents of the website (which includes images) are copyrighted by FIFA and that they cannot be used without FIFA's consent. Some of the images on the website are from Reuters, but then those are copyrighted and unusable for the same reasons. That being the case, please provide a reason why you believe that this image from FIFA's website would be usable on Wikipedia. If not, that's an image copyvio and it will be deleted from our servers, in accordance with our policy. Thanks, Redux 00:18, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
