Sachi Koto

Sachi Koto was a news anchor on CNN Headline News for 16 years, usually during weekend evenings, until her contract expired in July 2005. At age 54, CNN opted not to renew her contract.
Koto is a third-generation Japanese American. She worked at various radio and television stations in Atlanta and Tokyo for nine years before joining CNN. She now runs her own communications company, Sachi Koto Communications.
She graduated from Clarkson High School. She has a degree in communications from Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia. She also has a Japanese language and culture degree from Gendai Nihongo Gakko in Tokyo.
She now resides in Atlanta with her fiance, Ken Jackson, and her cat, Yoshi. Her son attends school at Arizona State University.
