Sam Young (born on June 24, 1987 in Coral Springs, Florida) is the starting right tackle for Notre Dame.

Young went to St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Fort Lauderdale) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During his junior and senior years, he did not allow a sack. In 2005, he won the 2005 Florida Gatorade Player of the Year. He also participated in both Shot-Put and Discus while attending STA.

Young made Notre Dame history becoming the first true freshman to start the season opener on the offensive line since freshmen became eligible in 1972. He was named 2006 first team Freshman All-American by The Sporting News.
