Samantha Gutterman is is the eldest daughter of New York lawyer Barry Gutterman. It would not suprise many that Sammantha would grow to have a passion for film because of all the people she had met through her father. Through her father she met stars such as Writer/Producer Steven Sunshine (Who once got her a job at the popular television show Extra} She had also met one of her fathers old roommates Ron Silver (Famous actor nominated for 2 emmys), But Samantha had the closest ties with one of her fathers closest friends and client, Horror Icon George A. Romero. According to IMDB.com "Throughout her (Samantha's) childhood, the legendary horror director fueled Gutterman's emerging passion, mesmerizing her with the madness of sets like Monkey Shines (1988), The Dark Half (1993) and_Bruiser (2000). Samantha still remains in contact with George and her father and him remain close friends and buisness partners.

At the age of 18 Samantha Left her home in New York to attend McGill University in Montreal Quebec. It was at McGill University that Samantha met a young energetic man named Gavin Heffernan who was a Canadian Independent FilmMaker. The two remained friends and in their final two years of University the two paired to make a critically acllaimed independent film titled Expiration. Although the film was not seen on a world wide basis it was loved by fans and critics who did see it. To this day the film remains to be Samanthas and Gavin Heffernan's most critically acclaimed film. The Film went on to win the Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature Film at the 2004 Canadian Filmmakers' Festival. The Last film Samantha has went on to produce was Sven Stromson Blue a short film that was enjoyed by critics but was not seen by much of the public. Almost no money was made from this film.

According to IMDB.com "Since moving to Los Angeles in the Spring of 2004, Samantha has been working harder than ever. She served as an assistant to Steven Sunshine on Extra, produced Joseph Campanale's Sven Stromson Blue and worked for Jeff Kwatinetz at the renowned artist management group, The Firm. She is currently at the Disney Channel working in the Original Movies department and developing some projects in her spare time."
In late 2005 Samantha begin to work as a New York city school teacher after officially becoming a Math teacher she moved to the Bronx where she Lives with three closes friends. Apparently in 2006 she had taken a student by the name of Michael Devery under her wing. She has inspired Michael into persuing his dreams of becoming a famous Hollywood Director.Little is known about Samanthas protégé Michael except from the fact that he is an Avid Horror fan and one of his Icons is George A. Romero. As a gift Samantha gave Michael a poster from Goerges latest movie Land Of the Dead.The poster was signed by George Romero was signed and said " Michael- Keep trying, Man! Thanks for thinking so much of me- Your ideas are as good or as better as mine! Stay Scared! George A. Romero" Samantha still remains to be a New York City School teacher in New York and she still tries to help Michael with Reaching his dreams.
