San Guillermo, Morong, Rizal

San Guillermo is one of the eight barangays in Morong, Rizal, Philippines. Formerly known as Calumpang, It was later renamed San Guillermo after a certain Guillermo. San Guillermo borders the towns of Binangonan, Angono and Teresa.
San Guillermo is a farming community with a population of 6,522 and 1,377 total dwellings. While majority in the barrio depend on farming as a livelihood, many others are engaged in businesses like garment industry, poultry and piggery. Many professionals are highly recognized in the field of medicine, law, engineering, education, military, and commerce among others. Still many others are gainfully employed in neighboring towns and cities or as contact workers abroad, particularly in Middle East and North America.
San Isidro Labrador is the patron Saint of San Guillermo, a feast in his honor is celebrated annually the 15th of May. In 2005, the small chapel of San Isidro Labrador became a full pledge Parish covering parts of Teresa, Rizal Barangay Bombongan and sitios of barangay Maybancal in Morong.
Also in 2005, San Guillermo National High School opens.

The first wave of San Guillermo immigrants to America came in the early 1900s. Families by families followed in drove when the US immigration laws allowed for petitioning of relatives.
The San Guillermo folks in California have their own way of maintaining the unity and sustaining the rich cultural heritage that they proudly cherish. Every Memorial Day, they get together and celebrate the feast of their patron saint, San Isidro Labrador. Fashioned in a lavish Barrio Fiesta to the delight of the younger generations and the senior citizens alike.
Since they scattered throughout California and other parts of United States they found Memorial Day weekend the most opportune time to group together for the much anticipated event. Los Angeles and San Francisco where most of the San Guillermo folks are concentrated, have been alternately hosting the affair since it was conceive in 1979. Organizations in US are San Guillermo Community USA (Northern California) and San Guillermo Association (Southern California).
