Sandy Ridge, Hong Kong

Sandy Ridge, or Sha Ling (沙嶺) is a hill on the east side of Lo Wu in the New Territory in Hong Kong. A native village of the same name, Sha Ling, is located south of the hill besides Man Kam To Road.
Sandy Ridge is completely within Closed Area of Hong Kong, in adjacent to the Hong Kong border with Shenzhen of mainland China. It is famous for its two cemeteries, Sandy Ridge Cemetery and Sandy Ridge Urn Cemetery. Both cemeteries were relocated to Sandy Ridge from various area in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island in 1949.
In adjacent to the village Sha Ling erects the Border District Headquarters of Hong Kong Police Force.
