Possibly the most chavtastic club in Manchester, known for scum and drugs, this club is definately to be avoided!
The night club Sankeys first opened in 1994 as Sankeys Soap at the Beehive Mill[1].
Like many clubs during the Madchester era, like The Haçienda, it was troubled with gangs and drugs, which led to Sankeys closure in 1998. [2]
The club would reopen in 2000 [3]and has since seen a lot success, putting on major DJs and acts like DJ Sasha and winning several awards including MixMag best small club.
In 2006 the club was closed briefly for refurbishment and changed its name from Sankeys Soap to Sankeys. [4]
