Santa Teresa High School is a secondary school located in the southern region of San Jose, California. This is mostly a suburban area. The school is part of the East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD), serving students in grades 9-12. Average student enrollment is 2300 students, with 32 students for every 1 teacher.
Santa Teresa High School is known for it's award winning music program and extra curricular programs. These include Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensembles, Jazz Bands, and Marching Band as well as Associated Student Body (ASB), International Relations Club (IRC) [1], and California Scholarship Federation (CSF), among other various groups.

- Santa Teresa has 3 of its original staff members still working on site. (Mr. Les DeLeon, Biology; Mrs. Shirley Donahue, Government; Mr. CJ Howard, PE;)
- Of the 80+ staff members on campus, 8 of them are married to another staff member, making 4 couples total. Santa Teresa, also, currently has nearly 10 of its former students back on campus as full time teachers.
- For the past few years, Santa Teresa's "clock tower" has actually been left without a working clock on it.
- The graduating class of '06 graciously donated funds to help repair the clock tower; (in November 2006, an attempt to burn it down a third time had failed).
- Santa Teresa's varsity football team made it to the CCS Large School Division semi-finals in Fall of 2006, coming up short (47-6) against Milpitas High School.
- Santa Teresa's International Relations Club annually holds the Santa Clara Valley Model United Nations Conference [2], drawing hundreds of student delegates from all along the West Coast.
- Santa Teresa High School's Italian Student Union donates more then two thirds of its money to Make-A-Wish...Their motto is: WE RAISE MONEY TO RAISE SMILES!
- In March of 2007, ST's song squad went to Nationals and were named Northern California Champions; 3rd overall in the nation. ST's mascots also placed 4th in their division. Santa Teresa has not been nationally ranked since 2000.
- Santa Teresa's campus also acts as host to the Phoenix Continuation School.
