Sayed Ali Ahsan (Bengali: সৈয়দ আলী আহসান), a Bangladeshi poet and writer was born in Jessore.

He worked in All India Radio as an organiser. He was a professor of department of Bangla in University of Dhaka and later, head of the department of Bangla of University of Karachi.
Ali Ahsan was a director of Bangla Academy. Was the Vice Chancellor of University of Rajshahi.
He travelled all over the world as a professor and writer.
