Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America, The American-Scandinavian Foundation's cultural center, is located at 58 Park Avenue, between 37th and 38th streets in midtown Manhattan. It offers art, design, and historical exhibitions; films; lectures; concerts; and children's programs illuminating the contemporary vitality of the Scandinavian and Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden). Designed by architect James Stewart Polshek, it also offers a shop that features Scandinavian designed jewelry and a cafe. The building opened to the public in 2000.
