Scott Johnson (English Basketballer)

Scott Johnson is a English Basketballer born on the 5th of January 1994 , he currently plays for St.Olaves basketball club and also plays for England.

Scott Johnson began playing reportedly due to interest in the blockbuster SpaceJam. After a few trials in 2000 he joined the Greenwich Admirals where he went from strength to strength.

In 2003 he was voted rookie of the year In 2004 he improved his layup drive and steered the Admirals to the playoff finals in the London Cup. Despite 25points from the number 1 Scott and the Admirals lost 79-74 against the Walthamstow Rockets.
[edit] Saint Olaves and England career
In 2005 Scott left primary school and went to St.Olaves in Orpington,Kent. Here he won MVP in the Kent League for his displays in the Kent League and cup. His first season with the saints Olaves reached the semi-finals, Johnson scored 26 points per game and his FG% was 63%. Scott played his first game for South East England on the 3rd November 2005 , scoring 33 points. To date he has mustered 31 games for South East England averaging 21 points per game. In the 2006 /07 season Scott has started well and his Olaves team along with Jonothan Webb and Richard Adenyi-Jones are 12-3 in the Kent League.Recently Scott was spotted and offered to join the England national squad U14's. Steve Burchall , the England Youth Coach ,has quoted as saying he was "one of the players that could make it to the Euroleague or even NBA."
