No we bloody well don't need to cite references for this. Seriously, what moron wrote that? I'm sorry but I don't use the moron word. Perhaps we could cite the self-whipping monks of the Black Plague? Or bob, who once lived down my road and is now dead?Tourskin 07:10, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. The article lacks references, and the tag points that out in the hopes that someone will provide some for the article, that's all, otherwise it may be original research. In particular, the claim "It may start out as small punishments, such as maintaining a state of seclusion or restriction from undertaking an enjoyable activity, but may progress into larger problems, such as cutting or using alcohol or drugs to excess." needs backing up.
