Sequoia is a leading, European, independent corporate finance advisory and private equity firm. The firm was founded in 2002 by Dirk Brouwer. Sequoia focuses on corporate finance and M&A advisory work for blue chip clients throughout Europe in various industry sectors with a specific specialization in energy & power, infrastructure, and telecom, media and technology. The firm is also active as financial advisor to various activist shareholders and hedge funds operating in the European market. Finally, Sequoia is together with ASA of Bangladesh (Association for Social Advancement), the world's largest microfinance institution ("MFI"), co-founder, co-investment manager and major shareholder of Catalyst Microfinance Investors, an international private equity firm focused on investing in promising, emerging microfinance institutions in Asia and Africa.
