[edit] CORCORAN
Here is one of the link with regard to the British forename CORCORAN: http://www.earthsphere.com/YourName/A-E.htm . Corcoran may be an Irish surname but it is also an English surname. The name came from Southern England in Cornwall before the Romans and Saxons arrived in the British Isle. Prior to their arrival, Germanic tribles inhabited Britain. When the Romans invaded Britain many of the British people fled to Northern Britain (now Scotland and Norther England), West Britain (now Wales) and to Hibernus, which translates as wintry (now Ireland). So, CORCORAN may be an Irish surname as well as a Welsh, English and Scotish surname but it is indeed a British forename.
