The Seven Hills School is a group of private schools in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The Seven Hills School was formed as a combination of three Cincinnati institutions — the College Preparatory School, the Hillsdale School and the Lotspeich School which merged in 1974. It consists of Doherty (PreK-5) and Lotspeich (PreK-5), named after the school's founders; Seven Hills Middle School (6-8); and Seven Hills Upper School (9-12).The Seven Hills School is the largest independent, non-church-affiliated school in Ohio and they have earned a reputation as the best school in the city.^{[citation needed]}

The Doherty Campus is located a few miles away from the Hillsdale Campus (which consists of Lotspeich, the Middle School, and the Upper School.). These schools are known as the Hillsdale Campus. Doherty was founded by Miss Doherty. It was called the College Preperatory School for a long time.

Until 1970, Doherty was a separate school known as the College Preparatory School, while Lotspeich, the middle school, and the high school were known as Hillsdale-Lotspeich. Both schools were originally all-girls until the 1960s/early 1970s. [1]

The Seven Hills School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.

Choosing from a diversity of classes, Seven Hills now boasts the only four year acting program in the city.

At the Doherty school, instead of grades, grades 2-5 are divided into units (1st grade is considered Unit One, but it is just 1st grade). Grades 2 and 3 is Unit 2 and grades 3 and 4 is considered Unit 3.

The Seven Hills logo is seven green triangles stacked on top of each other. Two on top, three in the middle and two on the bottom. They are placed on a white shield and surrounded by a white banner stating "The Seven Hills School". The name Seven Hills School derives from the city of Cincinnati's nickname: The City of Seven Hills.
