Sham (colloquialism)

The phrase Sham refers to a person of perceived toughness and is often used by "Norries", example1: "You think you're the sham, don't cha!" meaning you think tough of yourself (even if you aren't), Mainly Used in Ireland and parts of England. Example2: "Champagne for my real friends, and real pain for my sham friends": quote from Monty Brogan(beeing from ireland in the excellent movie 25th hour. The word is said to of originated in Drogheda in Co. Louth Ireland when Goths started calling thugs in the areas “Sham Boys” as in Shameful Boys, it then spread to mean the modern day version of toughness
