Shed Hunting
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shed hunting is the act of pursuing and gathering antlers that have been shed from a antler carrying species. Shed hunting typically occurs between December and the middle of July depending on the animal and geographical location. Shed hunting has grown in popularity over the last several years. This growth in popularity has led to restricted seasons in some states.
Antlers that have been collected are most often kept by the shed hunter but can also be carved into art work, left in the wilderness, or sold to an antler buyer.
