Sherrie Hewson

Sherrie Hewson (born Sherrie Lynn Hutchinson on 17 September 1950 in Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire, England) is an English actress who trained at RADA. She has appeared in many British television programmes and films including Carry On Behind, Love for Lydia, Hanover Street, Oh, Doctor Beeching! and Barbara. However, it is for her roles as Maureen Holdsworth in Coronation Street, Virginia Raven in Crossroads and Lesley Meredith in Emmerdale that she will be best remembered.
She is currently a regular presenter on Loose Women, an ITV1 daytime magazine programme aimed at women. Hewson has one daughter, Keeley.
Hewson briefly returned to Coronation Street to reprise her role of Maureen in 2006.
