Shihab Rattansi

Shihab Rattansi (Date of Birth – 25/aug) is a CNN anchor based in Atlanta. He regularly anchors World News during the weekends on CNNI, and sometimes he also anchors shows like Insight, Your World Today, Global Challenges, CNN Today, and World News Asia. Rattansi was formerly working for Channel News Asia in Singapore; during his stint in CNA he’s covered Indonesia’s major political turmoil “The fall of Suharto”. Even on CNN he’s been part of the anchor’s desk during the major breaking news stories like “The capture of Saddam Hussein”, “2004-Tsunami”, and “The death of Pope John Paul II”.
Shihab Rattansi was born and brought up in the UK and holds a degree in art history from University College London. His grand parents were basically from India and parents from Kenya--now based in London. His brother Afshin Rattansi, an author, has worked for Al Jazeera and BBC.
