Shortugai
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shortugai is an Indus Valley site on the Oxus river in northern Afghanistan [1]. It was a lapis lazuli mining center. According to Sergent, "not one of the standard characteristics of the Harappan cultural complex is missing from it". [2]
