This Union 76 station opened in 1964 and owned by the same family until it's closing in December 2005. The Makimoto family station was located in Rocklin, California at the intersection of I-80 and Sierra College Blvd, located twenty miles east of Sacramento toward Reno, Nevada. After 5 years of litigation the station lost out to the City of Rocklin’s expansion plans for the I-80/Sierra College Blvd freeway overpass improvements.
