Sikyos

Sikyos is a fictional Greek city-state in Age of Mythology. In the expansion to Age of Mythology, Sikyos is the site at which much of the game occurs. It is attacked by Atlanteans and devestated by a Titan.

[edit] Overview
Sikyos is a fictional Greek city-state in the computer game, Age of Mythology. It is a large city that receives most of its supplies from many Plenty Vaults in the surrounding area. When Age of Mythology began, it had a strong army guarding it under the command of General Melagius. This city controled a small colony on New Atlantis that had 10 years before had been devestated by war involving gods and great powers in The Fall of the Trident.
[edit] The Atlanteans Attack
Sikyos controlled a colony on Atlantis when it was attacked by Atlanteans under the command of the Theocrat, Krios (who was secretly the Servant of Kronos in disguise), and Kastor, Arkantos's son. The colony was overrun and captured by the Atlanteans who then chased the survivors of the defeat back to Sikyos itself. The survivors warned General Melagius of the impending attack and Melagius told a messenger to get help from their allies, the Egyptians and the Norse. The Atlanteans attacked and defeated Sikyos and were about to enter it when the allies came. They chased the Atlanteans out of the city, but the army stayed outside the walls. Kastor used simultaneous attacks at Egypt and the Norselands to get the armies to go back to their native lands. When Kastor returned, he found a Sky Passage leading to Mount Olympus and went up to it. He managed to get to the top of it and he escaped, but not before letting three Titans loose.
[edit] Prometheus
Immediately, the Titan, Prometheus, escaped Tartarus and begun to destroy Sikyos. He ruined many buildings and nearly killed Amanra, Ajax, and Kastor before they escaped. Prometheus completely leveled nearly all of the city and killed or chased of most of its people while the heroes killed the other two Titans. When the heroes returned, they destroyed the Prometheus with the help of Gaia's powers of nature.
[edit] Aftermath
When the game ends, Prometheus was dead and Sikyos was in ruins. After Gaia and the heroes defeated Kronos, Sikyos had been completely leveled by war and the Titan. When Age of Mythology ends, Sikyos is still destroyed and it is beginning to be rebuilt.
