Silvestre Varela

Silvestre Manuel Gonçalves Varela, or simply Silvestre Varela, (born February 2, 1985) is a Portuguese football player. A product of Sporting Clube de Portugal's youth teams, Silvestre Varela has been loaned to a number of Portuguese clubs.
Despite being a regular in the Portuguese under-21 team and having enjoyed a decent form at various tournaments he has not been able to secure a place in Sporting's first team, being currently on loan at Vitória de Setúbal
