Simon Augustini

Simon Augustini is primarily known as vice-chairman of PSHDK. He's also involved in many other political and financial activities.
[edit] Pre-political life
Simon Augustini was born on November 2, 1949 in Sojeva, Uroševac, in Kosovo, then part of Yugoslavia. He finished his primary school in 1964. Then, he went to Economic Secondary School in Uroševac where he graduated in 1968. He continued his studies in Economic Faculty, in University of Priština, graduating in 1972. From 1972 to 1975, he served as a teacher in the Economic High School in Uroševac. From 1975 to 1976, he worked as a Financial Expert in the Financial Secretariat Of Kosovo. Then, in 1976, he moved to Buffer's Factory in Priština, working as a Chief, and a Financiar and Commercial Expert. In 1979, he became a General Director of a functional organization called "Agrokosova - Commerce" (in Priština). He worked there as a marketing expert also.
After the early years of stern Serbian regime and violence towards Albanians in Kosovo, Augustini was forced to resign from his job. He had to establish his personal company, because Albanian people were not allowed to work in any vacancy position managed by government.

After the political situation in Kosovo went from tense to even bitter, Augustini joined Albanian Demochristian Party of Kosovo (PSHDK, Albanian: Partia Shqiptare Demokristiane e Kosovës) in 1992, formerly formed in 1990. In 1993 he was elected as a General Secretary of PSHDK. He was served for this duty until the beginning of the Kosovo War, in 1999. After the war, he was re-elected as a General Secretary of PSHDK, serving until 2004.
In 2001, Augustini was elected as a Director of the Public Service in Municipality of Priština.
In 2003 he became a Coordinator of Job and Training Office in the social-educational centre called "Don Bosko" in Priština.
In 2004 he was elected as a vice-chairman of PSHDK.
