when i went to widipedia today (i didnt log in), i had a message from you saying that i (or rather, my IP adress) had vandalised the artile 'Hinduism' in a recent edit. I have never edited any wikipedia articles, so this must be a mistake.

well, i just checked my IP adress and it was different; and had been assigned by 'DHCP'. I looked this up and it turns out it is in fact a 'dynamic' IP, given to me by the school's wireless router. Does this mean that someone at my school defaced the Hinduism article? (which is quite possible as i live in an international school in africa, and everyone has access to the wireless internet). oh yeah and one more question, what does it mean when it says your supposed to sign your comments with these things 'Samoen 12:07, 25 August 2006 (UTC)'?

Great! Glad we have been able to clear this up, the ~~~~ just automatically signs your name, Just so I know who has had a problem so I can hopefully clear it up. SimonD 14:41, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
