Sir John Hobart, 3rd Baronet

Sir John Hobart, 3rd Baronet (20 March 1628 – 22 August 1683) was an English politician.
Born in Ditchingham, he was the son of Sir Miles Hobart and Frances Peyton, and grandson of Sir Henry Hobart, 1st Baronet. Having been host to King Charles II in September 1671, he succeeded to his uncle's baronetcy on 20 April 1674. Hobart was Member of Parliament (MP) for Norfolk from 1654 to 1655, from 1656 to 1658, from 1673 to 1679, and from 1679 to 1685. In 1665 and 1666, he was Sheriff of Norfolk. He died, aged 55, and was buried in Blickling in Norfolk on 30 August 1683.

Hobart was married twice, firstly to his cousin Philippa Hobart, daughter of Sir John Hobart, 2nd Baronet and secondly to Mary Hampden, daughter of John Hampden in St Gile's-in-the-Fields Church in London in June 1656. He had three children by his second wife:
- Philippa Hobart, married Sir Charles Pye, 2nd Baronet on 28 April 1680
- Brigadier-General John Hobart (d. 1734)
- Sir Henry Hobart, 4th Baronet (c. 1658–1698)
