SkekSil
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the 1982 film, The Dark Crystal, skekSil is the Chamberlain of the Skeksi race. As Chamberlain, skekSil is second in line to the Skeksi throne, though the confronation with SkekUng in Trial by Stone not only cost him his position, but also led to his exile as a result of SkekUng's first decree. As evidenced before the Emperor's death, SkekSil and SkekUng depised each other, with SkekSil's trademark whimper always vexing SkekUng.
However, despite banishment, SkekSil saw the Gelfings as his ticket to return to power, though only Jen was briefly fooled by SkekSil's sly nature. However, after a confronation in the castle's underground chambers, SkekSil grabbed Kira, leaving Jen for dead, and brought her to the Skesis throneroom where SkekUng relucantantly gave SkekSil back his position. However, when the Crystal was restored, SkekSil was fused back with urSol the Chanter into their original form.

In the book The World of the Dark Crystal, skekSil's personality is described as "smiling poison and suspicious craft". Other allusions ascribed to the Chamberlain are:
