[edit] License tagging for Image:Campus3.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Campus3.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:09, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Saint Michael's College images
Hi! I removed these images from the Saint Michael's College for two reasons. Firstly because they were uploaded to the wikimedia commons with conflicting licensing information--one the one hand were marked as GFDL, on the other hand you were requiring that people wishing to reuse the images call a telephone number (presumably for permission). The wikimedia commons requires that all images uploaded to it be licensed such that anyone can use them for any purpose (commercial or non-commercial) without the need to gain further permission from the copyright holder. Secondly the way that you worded the image descriptions suggested that you were not the copyright holder of these pictures, so I was uncertain whether the copyright holder had in fact given permission for the photos to be licenced in this manner. If the copyright holder does indeed agree to allow anyone to freely use these images for any purpose (subject of course to the terms of one of the acceptable free licences described at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Licensing ) then please log into the wikimedia commons, update the image descriptions, and then re-add them to the article. Thanks, JeremyA 23:20, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
