Sobriety
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sobriety is solemn or dignified personal behaviour, in particular moderation or abstinence with regard to (typically) the consumption of alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs. It could also be applied to the figurative 'consumption' of pornography, video games, DVDs, CDs, books, and the like.
In neuro-linguistic programming, sobriety is the state of not acting out in an addiction. Drug addicts often say they are sober when they are willing to stop acting out in personal bottom-line addictive behaviour on a daily basis.
