Song Wencong

Mr. Song Wencong (宋文骢) is a Chinese aircraft designer, who is responsible for the development of the single seat version of Chengdu J-10. It must be noted that Mr. Song is not the general designer of the twin seater version of Chengdu J-10, which is designed by a younger general designer of the same design institute, Mr. Yang Wei (杨伟, 1964 - ) (who is also the chief designer of JF-17 Thunder). Mr. Yang Wei is also the chief designer of the fully digitized fly-by-wire control systems of both versions of Chengdu J-10.
