[edit] Trivia
Added a few pieces of Trivia. (Galvy 15:41, 15 February 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Sales
I'll be removing the claim of Sonic Mega Collection (Plus) not selling well. Not only did the editor fail to provide an adequate source, telling us nothing more than "some people are saying it," the change also fails to realize that each port of SMC(p) respectively became a part of the Greatest Hits, Platinum Hits, and Player's Choice lines, something that is quite unusual for a multiplatform collection of old games. Thus, I highly doubt that low sales were the reason for Sega's refusal to release Sonic Gems Collection on the PS2 and XBox, since a game usually needs a certain number of sales before being given those titles. [edit] Spinball
Spinball is in the Sonic Mega Collection, so I've moved it. 67.188.172.165 02:10, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Except that's the Genesis version, which this isn't. I'm moving it back - it was correct before. --Shadow Hog 04:14, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bare Knuckle
"Similarly, playing the Japanese version of Sonic Gems Collection on a modded English language PS2 changes all menus, hints and manuals to their English versions, and also changes Sonic CD to the US version. All other games (except Vectorman 1 & 2) remain unchanged."
Further down, you find (Japanese PS2 disc on PAL system), where you can select Streets of Rage with sequels. So it seems that "Bare Knuckle" (Japanese title) is changed into "Streets of Rage" (European title) as well. In that case, the statement that only Sonic CD and the Vectorman games are changed is wrong. Can someone check that the name is changed *everywhere* in the game, and adjust the text accordingly? Streets of Rage is only used in the menus, the games themselves are the Japanese Bare Knuckle versions. Gaz C 09:56, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- Bizarre. Are the BK games still playable on a US game using a cheat device? That might help with this puzzle.... The S 21:53, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

- Nope, they've been removed from the disc. I guess Sega of Japan localized the menus and hints before the decision was made not to include the SoR/Bonanza Bros games on Western shores (the hints themselves are full of Engrish). Gaz C 23:52, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
