Soren (Guardians of Ga'Hoole)

Soren a.k.a. Soren Alba is a fictional character from Guardians of Ga'Hoole.
Soren is a Barn Owl from the Guardians of Ga'hoole series and one of the main characters. He is also the protagonist of most of the series.
Soren lived peacefully with his parents, his older brother Kludd, his younger sister Eglantine, and his nest-maid snake Miss Plithiver in the Forest Kingdom of Tyto. This was until his cruel brother Kludd pushed him off his nest when his parents were out hunting. The reason why Kludd pushed him out is because Kludd wanted to join a group of owls known as the Pure ones and for the last task he must sacrifice a family member.
Unable to fly, agents of St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls captured him and flew him to the academy. There he met an Elf Owl named Gylfie, who together resisted the academy's attempt to brainwash them by moon blinking which is exposing the owls head into the moon. With the help of Grimble, a Boreal owl who taught them how to fly, the two friends escaped through the library, but Grimble died fighting off the leader, Skench.
Soren desperate to see his parents flies home, along with him Gylfie, and two new inclusions: Twilight and Digger. He finds his hollow empty, and takes the lead of the party and set out for the legendary Great Ga'hoole Tree.
Soren soon became a guardian and lead the chaw of the chaws composed of Glyfie, Twilight, Digger, Ruby (short eared owl), Otulissa (spotted owl), Martin (northern saw whet) and himself.
After a great battle to save Eglantine Soren received battle claws from Ezlryb his mentor and foster father.
Later Soren met his brothers son Nyroc who became the next monarch of the Ga'Hoole tree.
