[edit] Spider's Little Daddy
It's Father's Day, and Jeff the Spider pays Billy a visit, wanting to be loved. But Billy still hates spiders, so Jeff asks Mandy to teach him how to be mean so he can force Billy to love him. But it is harder than Mandy thought. She tries talking to Jeff over the microphone, but that doesn't work either. Mandy gives up. But when Mandy went out of the room leaving Grim to do her chores. Grim talks about Mandy and Jeff is listening to him over the microphone. Grim's talking hits him in the right spot - he goes nuts and decides that "there is no more Mr. Nice Spider".
[edit] Tricycle of Terror
Billy crashes his bike in a tree when he goes to buy some lemonade. The tree falls on the bike, a giant flaming meteorite crushes the tree, and they sink (all with no visible reason)through the ground. Billy misses his old bike when he sees how everybody is happy with their bikes but needs to go to bathroom because he has drunk too much lemonade. He tries to hold up before he gets to the bathroom, but suddenly, thunder crashes and an Underworld portal conveniently shaped like a toilet appears. Billy does not realize that anything strange has happened and enters the portal. The portal brings him to a strange city where he meets a strange kid. The boy gives him a tricycle that he created "just for him", but with one condition: He must love the tricycle forever. Billy promises and takes the tricycle.
Back in Endsville, Billy is very happy with his new tricycle, which he names "Trykie". But when other kids see it, they start mocking Billy for riding a tricycle. When Irwin and Pud'n tease Billy, he runs home crying. Trykie exacts revenge and badly wounds them . When the tricycle finishes the job, he returns to Billy. Billy again doesn't notice anything strange had happened (even though the tricycle steered itself to his room), and goes for an another ride. When Sperg sees Billy riding the tricycle, he throws it from the cliff (parodying Shel Silverstein's Where the Sidewalk Ends) after giving Billy a wedgie. But Trykie exacts terrible revenge again and hurts Sperg. But this time, Mandy sees Trykie attacking Sperg and, after confirming that the tricycle belongs to Billy, calls Grim. When Grim sees Trykie, he immediately comes to the conclusion that it's possessed. Billy at first denies that his tricycle is a "meany", but when Trykie attacks Grim he finally realizes the truth. Mandy eventually smashes the tricycle several times with the garage door and says, "Trykie has left the building".
[edit] Cultural References
- Tricycle of Terror is based on the book and film Christine.
- The title of the episode, "Tricycle of Terror" probably refers to the ABC special, "The Trilogy of Terror".
- When Billy says Trykie is "cool like that," this might be a reference to the song "Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat)" by Digable Planets.
- When Sperg throws Trykie off the cliff in Tricycle of Terror, the cliff looks like the title page from Shel Silverstein's book Where the Sidewalk Ends. There is a dog dangling through a hole in the sidewalk and two children looking over the side. While throwing the tricycle, Sperg shouts: "This is where the sidewalk ends baby!"
- The mark of the beast on the tricycle has the Maximal symbol from the show, Beast Wars: Transformers.
[edit] Continuity Errors
- While communicating with Jeff through a microphone, Mandy did not have a flower on her dress.
