Stab Bastards Eat Candy

Stab Bastards Eat Candy or simply abbreviated SBEC, are an American electronic and technical band who formed in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2000.
Developed as a ridiclious joke, SBEC's frontperson Mike Bastard began writing and recording material for the band's first album as a backlash to the current trends of music during the late 1990s. Having limited musical knowledge, Mike nonetheless ended up writing, recording and mixing a full length cd, recorded exclusively with the use of a Casio keyboard, released nationally on March 21, 2001. With extremely limited publicity, the record fared very poorly, despite mostly postive reactions for the first single: Jesus, Will You Take Me To The Prom?

Following the release of the band's follow-up EP Cheer Up Amanda, The band then relocated to Des Moines, Iowa in late 2002. Following a brief hiatus, the band released their sophomore album: Mr. Belvedere Made Me Lunch, But Wesley Spilled The Lemonaide on December 25, 2005. Again, the album was completely self funded, written, mixed, recorded and promoted, leading to less than modest album sales (although improving on the first album's sales by more than 50%)
The album received it's share of controversies upon release, including accidentally co-insiding with the death of famed Dunkin Donuts pitchman Michael Vale (better known as the Time To Make The Donuts Guy). Just one day after the album's release, Vale passed away due to complications of diabetes. Ironically, the album's final song, Time To Make The Doughnuts is sung from Vale's perspective, and ends with his death. Due to the sheer bizareness of the incident, Time To Make The Doughnuts received very limited airplay on select Des Moines area websites.
Time To Make The Doughnuts was followed by the album's 2nd single: Rosie O'Donnell's Gonna Die! which garnered it's own share of controversey, predicting the eventual death of talk show hostess Rosie O'Donnell. The song became a sensation on websites myspace.com and iacmusic.com, often occurring in heavy rotation.
A third single, called Kill The Elderly was released shortly thereafter, to generally positive reviews, but received far less attention. A music video was also shot for the album's 14th and hidden track Jesus Loves Me More Than you and can be found on youtube.com
A 4th single (although never officially released) surfaced in early March of 2006, titled PokeYaHotAzz and was seemingly a collaboration between the band and rapper Kevin Federline. However, neither SBEC or Federline have commented on it's authenticity.
Currently the band is writing material for their next release.
